Meet the Team
Mike Jeffcoat
Founder & CEO
Mike is a former US Marine. He deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2003) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004-2005). As an Aviation Ordnanceman (IYAOYAS!), he was attached to the 24 MEU (REIN) at Forward Operating Base Kalsu (Babil Province, Iraq), and then briefly at AL Taqqadum and Al Asad. His roles included Detachment NCO and Collateral Duty Inspector.
Following his military service, Mike joined the Homewood Police Department in central Alabama. Over his law enforcement career, Mike was honored to serve as a patrolman, Field Training Officer, and as K-9 Handler. In January 2020, he retired from HPD.
Mike is now dedicated to enabling his fellow veterans to successfully navigate the complex and often frustrating VA disability claims application process. After nearly two decades of personal experience interacting with the VA, VBA, and VHA, he has developed an easy-to-use process that allows veterans to understand and confidently engage in the VA disability compensation benefit claim process.
